Milan is primarily known for fashion and industry, but perhaps not everyone knows that it is home to important works of art.
In this first post about Milan as a city of art, I would like to introduce you to the most famous works, which I recommend visiting if you are short on time.
They are the most famous art venues, but in the next posts, I will introduce you to some lesser-known art venues in Milan.

For a one-day visit to Milan focused on art, don't miss the following works:
The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci (L'Ultima Cena) in the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

Due to high demand, advance booking is essential.
The Pinacoteca di Brera's art collection houses masterpieces of Italian painting, including works by Raphael, Caravaggio, and Tiziano.

Visit the interior, climb to the roof for panoramic views, and perhaps visit the Cathedral Museum.
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, although primarily a shopping arcade, is a 19th-century architectural masterpiece.

The Castello Sforzesco houses several museums, including the Pinacoteca del Castello Sforzesco, which houses works such as Michelangelo's unfinished Pietà Rondanini.
